Diana McHardy

For over many years, the ministry of spiritual direction has been the area of my first love. It is being present to another on the spiritual journey “of becoming” one’s fullest, graced self. It is offering spiritual companionship from the stance of genuine positive regard, empathetic understanding and compassionate, unconditional love. It is being fully present to another person, to listen with the ears of the heart to sacred longings, to affirm life-giving discoveries of spiritual insight and depth, and to celebrate realized gifts, callings and vocation. It is to name the presence of the sacred, open in discernment to Divine Mystery. It is the invitation to recognize the enhancement and transformation of one’s personhood in service to self, others and all that is holy in the context of our everyday life, in our world, and in the universe.
