For a number of years, a wonderful woman named Gert Leakey was an office volunteer for the Anawim Community, later the Jubilee Community, at that time the sponsor of this program.

The Jubilee Community, in winding up its affairs, donated funds to the Pacific Jubilee Program, to be devoted to a program named in her honour.

Our present intent is to create a program which will enable spiritual directors to integrate more fully the justice dimension of their work into their practice. To this end, we contemplate organizing a travel-study program of exposure and encounter based in a developing country, perhaps Guatemala.

Because of the hiatus we have recently experienced, the program is on hold for the time being. We hope that within the next year we will be able to announce the dates and focus of the first offering of the program. Enquiries are welcome in the meantime.
